Makeup Menu: February 2016

Ding dong the time is here again, its my monthly makeup post.
February seems to have flown by but maybe thats because it's a slightly shorter month, that and I also spent basically an entire week out of action due to a nasty cold. Still, once I was back up and running I threw a lot of stuff on my face, so I've got quite a lot for you. Anyway enough jabbering, lets get down to the good stuff...

1 | SLEEK BAREKISSED ILLUMINATOR (IN MONACO)

Yep, still obsessed with highlighter this month, I'd been wanting to get my hands on an illuminator like the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter but for much less money, Sleek were bang on the ball with this new release. It's not glittery or sticky, its a simple, brightening, icey pink, shimmery, smooth product that glides on and blends easily. It may not quite have the staying power of a high end product, but a pretty good substitute at only £8.99!

2 | BENEFIT ERASE PASTE (IN NO.1 FAIR)

This was one of the first ever high(er) end products I bought. I'd heard so many great reviews about its ability to banish dark circles, but when I first started using it, I had little joy, so it went into the back of my makeup drawer. Since my under eye skin has been looking much better in recent months, I decided to whip this out and give it another try. Suffice to say, I'm having much more luck, the salmon colour definitely helps to cancel out the darkness and its thick creamy texture helps to avoid any dryness, however I find it's most successful when used sparingly.

3 | NARS RADIANT CREAMY CONCEALER (IN CHANTILLY)

Skipping the foundation this month as I actually haven't been wearing any! My skin is really starting to pick up, which may be because I have switched up my skincare routine due to the time of year, or it may be because of this guy. This concealer is incredible, it covers EVERYTHING without looking cakey, blends so easily, lasts all day and is a perfect colour match for my painfully pale face. Bonus, its the only concealer I've ever found that doesn't cling to my dry patches (please note afore mentioned cold that took its toll around my sniffer). No regrets or go backs on this purchase, fo sho!

4 | TOPSHOP CREAM BLUSH (IN FLUSH)

Behold an old favourite, I wore this a lot last year, the colour is a wonderfully bright pop of pink that blends smoothly to really liven up my face, and lasts all day. I will never stop enjoying this, although I think the shade has been discontinued, so apologies for that. Why, Topshop, WHY?

5 | TOPSHOP GLOW STICK (IN PLAY UP)

Another one for the highlighter collection, a brighter and creamier formula than the illuminator, this has been gliding over my cheekbones when I really wanted to glow.

6 | KIKO CREAM EYESHADOW (IN 06 PEARLY CHOCOLATE)

Guilty, I jumped onto the Kiko bandwagon and no regrets. Not only was this on offer at only £3.40 but I loved the chocolatey/copper shade and mousse like texture. It lasts well and blends seamlessly, love, love, love.

7 | NYX JUMBO PENCIL (IN LAVENDER)

Not as bold as a white liner, I've been loving popping this lavender shade in the lower waterline to brighten the whites of my eyes, it really takes away any yellow tones and more to the point, it actually lasts!

8 | BENEFIT THEY'RE REAL TINTED MASCARA PRIMER

Still loving the mascara primer, its soft, gentle on my lashes, easy to remove and makes my lashes look long and fluttery.

9 | L'OREAL BROW ARTIST PLUMPER (IN MEDIUM/DARK)

Quite the brow cult, I am so glad I picked this up in the beginning of the month, it plumps, tints and holds those pesky wild brow hairs!

10 | REVLON LIP BUTTER (IN 025 PEACH PARFAIT)

Already a fan of the Revlon lip butters, I picked up this shade, a glossy 'my lips but better' shade and have pretty much worn it every day!
