The Bronzed Glow Edit

Hello lovely readers, I hope you are all well!
So this Summer I have been all about that bronzed glowing skin look. As a pale skin gal, its quite the feat to find bronzing products that don't make me look like a matte wotsit, but with constantly improving formulas and new techniques / products to try, I feel like I've seriously nailed the look this year, all thanks to just four products. Let's jump straight into it...

Besides your skincare, your base is one of the key steps to getting that glow. The Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue is one of my all time favourite bases, because the formula is just stunning. The consistency is quite thick but definitely gel like in texture, making it incredibly moisturising. It adds a beautiful luminosity to the skin and never clings to any dry patches. This product is definitely more of a tinted moisturiser so I often like to mix this with a fuller coverage concealer or foundation to get the finish that I want. The best thing is that this product contains SPF 30 so is great for everyday wear in Summer!

The L'Oréal Paris Glam Bronze Cushion is marketed as being perfect for almost every skin tone and as a pale skin gal, I can confirm it bronzes my skin beautifully! This product is a recent discovery for me but I think it's safe to say I have found a holy grail. It's not too heavy or orange and because it is a cushion formula, it blends seamlessly giving a fresh and dewy finish. Even if you accidentally press the puff into the cushion too hard and pick up excess product, its easy to use a wiping motion to tone it down, or the classic patting motion in areas such as the cheekbones and forehead where you want a little extra colour. This product definitely makes me feel healthy and lit from within, yet natural, which is exactly what I'm going for.

If your base isn't giving you enough glow, then hey, there's always a gals BFF: highlighter. The BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone is one of my top picks because it provides an intense sheen but it's never glittery or shimmery looking. It truly does just make your skin look plump and soft, like J-Lo or a Victoria Secret Model - at least that's how I feel when I manoeuvre my head and stare at the satisfying pop on my cheeks and cupid's bow. I've even started taking to adding a little to the inner corners of my eyes, just to brighten them up around my dark circles. MOAAR HIGHLIGHTER, MOOAAR GLOW!

Finally to shake things up, I have turned back to the one and only MAC lipstick I have ever purchased:  MAC Matte Lipstick in Lady Danger. Since my skin has a yellow undertone, the bright orange in this iconic red is really flattering on my pale skin. It helps to brighten my complexion even more, plus I'll always choose to slap on a lipstick over fiddling around with mascara. Though I find this formula to be very dry, I apply in a dabbing motion with a finger to warm up the product and follow with a small amount of lip balm on the top, just to add some extra moisture and avoid any flakiness. The formula still holds its longevity but doesn't dry out the lips. With a paired down eye I think this lip colour looks super chic even just for day time! If any of you know a cheaper dupe for this shade I'd love to know, particularly if it's in a more moisturising formula!
