Autumn Wishlist 2018

The season of crunchy leaves, burgundy and boots is almost upon us...

Autumn has got to be one of my favourite seasons for fashion and beauty. From the warm colour palettes of burgundy, tan, rust and deep green, to the art of layering – there's a lot to love about Autumn fashion. The month of September often signals a new beginning with a fresh year at school / university, it's as if the world has a reboot and we all re-evaluate everything from our wardrobes to our life choices. But today, let's just stick to the wants for the wardrobe and beauty collection...

FASHION & LIFESTYLE

New Look Roll Neck Jumper.  One of my ultimate discoveries last year was the roll neck jumper, specifically in black. The power of a basic should never be underestimated; black goes with everything, from jeans of all shades, skirts and all kinds of shoes. Meanwhile the roll neck silhouette is classy, chic and, more importantly, warm on chilly autumn days.

H&M Burgundy Loafers.  A simple pair of flats will always be a staple. They're comfortable, easily obtained and come in a wide variety of styles and colours. I love a burgundy pointed slipper or even some tanned loafers to carry me through the season.

Apricot Baroque Skirt.  Baroque is back. If I ever want to make a statement, a skirt is always the way I go. Paired with a basic top in the same colour scheme, it's easy to look like I've made a lot more effort than I actually have. More please.

Boohoo Check Blazer.  In the in between seasons, jackets can be a nightmare. It's warm in the sunny afternoons, but chilly in the morning and evenings; the answer? A blazer. A simple monochrome check pattern is easily paired with a rainbow of colours and adds a chic silhouette to any outfit.

Boohoo Tan Boots.  Tan boots are my ultimate favourite item for Autumn. A little heel gives a touch of glam, while pointed toes elongate the legs for those of us who are vertically challenged, and the Autumnal warm toned tan just looks fab. I've had my current pair for many years and given they're my number 1 choice for most of Autumn, they're looking a little rundown. Fortunately, everyone knows a tan boot is a staple, so a new pair is easily found at great prices – yay!

Yankee candle in Radiant Autumn.   Of course nothing sets the tone for the season like a scent. Since moving out for university, having candles and reeds permeating my room is one of my favourite things to come home to at the end of a long day. A warm cinnamon or pumpkin scent to welcome me to my new flat this year? Yes please.

BEAUTY

Essie Nail Polish in Fishnet Stockings.  Nails are one of my favourite ways to add a splash of colour or keep it stripped back and simple with a rotation of natural nails or burgundy. Taking some inspo from Parisian chic, Essie's Fishnet Stockings is the perfect balance of deep red to purple tones; perfect for Autumn.

Lancôme Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara.  I've been off mascara for the whole of summer after a hayfever debacle, but when the cooler weather rolls around, with freshers and nights out around the corner, I'm shopping for a new mascara. I've heard so much hype about the Monsieur Big Waterproof formula, with it's curling power and bulking bristles, it's got to be on the list.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner.  Who doesn't love a 2 in 1 product? The tattoo liner in brown looks to be a perfect fit for softly recreating missing brow hairs, whilst also softly lining the eyes. My local Debenhams in my uni town has recently brought Kat Von D in stock, so yes, you will find my at their counter the second I move in.

Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in Amber Haze.  I tested this  pencil formula quite a while ago as I'm always on the hunt for a speedy eye application with little mess but long lasting payout. Having oily eyelids often means products disappear within an hour, but this would not budge. The formula is very soft and waxy so glides on easily, and the shade Amber Haze is a beautiful golden to warm bronze shimmer – ideal for making my blue eyes pop. Hopefully it'll be part of my collection soon!
