New In from The Ordinary

More cheap and cheerful goodness.

After finally making it through my last bout of products from The Ordinary, I decided to branch out. The products I previously purchased lived on to be worth their price and effective, and are among some of the only skincare products I've actually finished – a real feat for my sensitive skin. But with new formulas and products always on the release, plus the ever-changing landscape that is my face, I felt it was time to try something new.

When it comes to The Ordinary, you can rarely go wrong. No fancy packaging with made-up fantasy/sci-fi words to convince you of your purchase, no nasty ingredients and no heavy price tag. So, of course, I returned to them for my next fix. These two new products have not disappointed and will definitely be taking pride of place in my refreshed skincare routine.

Marine Hyaluronics*. Much like its sister product from my last post, this little thirst quencher has not disappointed. I decided to try this instead of repurchasing the original Hyaluronic Acid as I found the original acid left a slight residue on my skin – this only became apparent when wearing makeup, as sometimes it would peel. Not ideal. This product, however, totally different. With a thinner, runnier consistency, it instantly sinks into the skin when applied, leaving it feeling soft and plump.

100% Plant-Derived Squalane*. A serum that feels as softening as an oil? All-natural ingredients? Lightweight formula? Sign me up. Found naturally in the skin, squalane is ideal for emollient rehydration without the heaviness of a thick cream or oil and gives my skin a gentle glow without any sticky or greasy residue. Win.

Have you tried anything from The Ordinary?
